FAQ
What does Delivery Date Control Center do?
It adds delivery and pickup date selection to Shopify checkout and lets merchants manage the rules that determine which dates are available.
Can I use different rules per shipping method?
Yes. Each shipping method or pickup option can have its own weekdays, cut-off time, lead days, blackout dates, allowed dates, capacity limits, and collection planning.
Can rules differ per country or delivery zone?
Yes. You can start with default rules and add zone overrides when a country or region needs different availability.
Where is the selected date stored?
The selected date and method key are stored on the Shopify order using order metafields, so teams can review and update delivery details after checkout.
Can staff create manual orders?
Yes. DDCC creates the order metafields. If staff need draft-order values to copy to completed orders, create the matching draft order definitions manually in Shopify.
What happens when staff send an invoice from a draft order?
The customer completes checkout from the invoice or payment link. They can choose an available Shopify shipping option and DDCC delivery date there, so normal availability rules and cut-offs apply.
Does the app support pickup dates?
Yes. DDCC includes a pickup date picker and pickup method rules for stores that offer pickup options.
Can customers combine shipping and pickup in one order?
No. DDCC stores one date and one method per Shopify order, so a checkout should use either shipping or pickup for that order.
Can I change the app text or translations?
Yes. Merchants can choose a default language and override checkout, thank you page, and email labels in the app settings.
How do I get support?
Email asclaren@outlook.com with your store domain, a short description of the issue, and screenshots if possible.
